A first look.
Most of the damage is done by things that were visible before the buy. Check whether mint authority and freeze authority are revoked, whether the token uses extensions such as transfer fees or a permanent delegate, and whether pool liquidity is burned, time-locked or still withdrawable by the deployer. Look at the deployer’s previous launches and where the wallet was funded from. Treat a project’s social accounts as claims to verify: check the account’s age, whether the handle was reused, and whether the site and the on-chain metadata point at each other. A clean checklist does not make a token safe — it only removes some of the most common ways to lose everything.
